Labyrinth Facilitation
I am passionate about labyrinths I trained with Lauren Artress and Robert Ferré to become a 'labyrinth facilitator' a few years ago, and love running group community walks.
I can help create your own labyrinth on your property, or with your group. We can use found materials to create an ephemeral labyrinth, or I can advise you on how to create a more permanent one. I was a key player in creating the Healesville Labyrinth Garden, more can be found at www.healesvillelabyrinth.org.au
I also have a portable, eight metre square canvas labyrinth which I can bring along with me (indoor use only) to facilitate a labyrinth workshop for your organisation or community group. I also bring along a swag of art materials, stones, candles, incense or whatever may be appropriate, so we can explore our creative, sacred selves.
Group Work
I develop programs with various health providers, community organisations and groups wishing to explore creative ways of engaging participants needing wellness programs.
I will tailor projects, whether it is for a one-off group program, or over several weeks or months to suit the needs of the clients.
I have worked within the mental health field, aged care, bushfire recovery projects, children and intellectual disability. My focus is on positivity and well-being.
Work in Schools
I have worked on several school projects mostly in primary schools. In 2012 I created a mural to brighten a dull blank wall with the grade 6 students at Welshpool primary school, Victoria.
Community Work
I love making things happen so that people in my community get to have meaningful and connected experiences.
I enjoy helping facilitate community arts projects and this often involves labyrinths. Some labyrinth projects I have been involved with include The Healesville Labyrinth Garden, Belgrave Lantern Festival, Alexandra Art Co-op Youth Festival, The Joining Festival (2010).
Following the Black Saturday Bushfires in 2009 I established the Triangle Arts Group with some local artists. Our projects included the Celebration Day & Flower Mandala (pictured), the 1000 Hands Installation project, the Roadside Wildflower Clay Plaques, KIN Playspace artworks (including a 5 metre Rainbow Serpent mosaic and meeting the Dalai Lama), the After School Art program, and working with the Royal Children's Hospital with local schools (known as Cartwheels).
I have been a member of the EarthSoulScience Co-operative for 5 years and participate in delivering group activities dedicated to social, environmental and spiritual sustainability. Many of these events often involve good food and much laughter.
